So sorry, everyone, for the delay with this post! August and into September has been a whirlwind! We have made SO MUCH progress with the tiny house! Wanna see it??!! Here you go!!

Greg & his nephew, E3, along with our friend Steve Paris |
Once the wall framing was up, it was time to install the windows and the door. Such an exciting thing! I think this was when it really started to feel like a house to me. :)
We were able to re-use some windows that Greg found at a donation center, which kept our cost really low.
Yay for inexpensive and re-purposed materials!

Our friend, Scott Federick, was a MASTER at putting our door in! |

All wrapped up! |
Once the windows and door were in, it was time to wrap the house. We used metal wrapping, which gave the house even more structure and support. Kinda cool looking, eh? I loved how reflective the house was during this phase. It mirrored the surroundings beautifully!

Greg & Andy = Great Team |
Roofing was next. We installed a green tin roof. Love it! The sound of the rain hitting that tin roof is so wonderful.)

Insulated! |
Once we were under roof, it was time for the foam insulation. We decided to hire a team for this install. It was one of the pricier elements of the build, but it will be so worth it!
|
Aww...the dreaded siding! |
Then...it was time for siding. We chose a concrete based siding material that has turned out to be quite a headache. So...we decided it was time for a Work Party!
We had so many friends turn out to help us. It was a really fun day, and we were able to get so much accomplished! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!....to all of those who have reached out to offer their help with this build. Ya'll are just too much!

So...what's next? Well...we are currently working to finish up the rest of the siding, along with the interior walls, and ceilings. It's all interior from thereon out! Can't wait to share the next update with you. We are hoping to get A LOT accomplished by the end of September!
We feel so humbled and blessed by the outpouring of love, support, blood, sweat, and tears from all of you who have supported us in so many ways on this adventure. We are exhausted, but we are loving every minute of this incredible journey!
Peace & Love,
-Greg & Carla
